Title: A Night Divided
Author: Jennifer A. Nielsen
Published: August 25th 2015 by Scholastic

From New York Times bestselling author Jennifer A. Nielsen comes a stunning thriller about a girl who must escape to freedom after the Berlin Wall divides her family between east and west.

With the rise of the Berlin Wall, twelve-year-old Gerta finds her family divided overnight. She, her mother, and her brother Fritz live on the eastern side, controlled by the Soviets. Her father and middle brother, who had gone west in search of work, cannot return home. Gerta knows it is dangerous to watch the wall, to think forbidden thoughts of freedom, yet she can’t help herself. She sees the East German soldiers with their guns trained on their own citizens; she, her family, her neighbors and friends are prisoners in their own city.

But one day, while on her way to school, Gerta spots her father on a viewing platform on the western side, pantomiming a peculiar dance. Then, when she receives a mysterious drawing, Gerta puts two and two together and concludes that her father wants Gerta and Fritz to tunnel beneath the wall, out of East Berlin. However, if they are caught, the consequences will be deadly. No one can be trusted. Will Gerta and her family find their way to freedom?

Title: The Boy Most Likely To
Author: Huntley Fitzpatrick
Published: August 18th 2015 by Dial Books

The romantic companion to My Life Next Door—great for fans of Sarah Dessen and Jenny Han.

Tim Mason was The Boy Most Likely To find the liquor cabinet blindfolded, need a liver transplant, and drive his car into a house

Alice Garrett was The Girl Most Likely To . . . well, not date her little brother’s baggage-burdened best friend, for starters.

For Tim, it wouldn’t be smart to fall for Alice. For Alice, nothing could be scarier than falling for Tim. But Tim has never been known for making the smart choice, and Alice is starting to wonder if the “smart” choice is always the right one. When these two crash into each other, they crash hard.

Told in Tim’s and Alice’s distinctive, disarming, entirely compelling voices, this novel is for readers of The Spectacular Now, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, and Paper Towns.

Title: Charms
Author: Amanda Rae Munoz
Published: September 11th 2015 by Amanda Rae

This isn’t the story of a shattered girl who meets a broken boy and together they fix each other and live happily ever after.
This is a story of the girl you went to school with. A story about the boy you know from down the block.

It’s beautiful and messy. It’s happy and devestating. It’s blissful and soul crushing. But it’s their story and it’s real.

The quiet girl with the wild hair has captured Javier’s attention for so long. He isn’t about to let another day go by without at least knowing her name. The timing is bad, the circumstances less than ideal but he just wants to say hello and see her smile up close and then he will let her go. He has to let her go. What he doesn’t know is that there is no way he can walk away after meeting her.

Selfishly he pursues her and begins a beautiful love affair knowing that there is only one way it can all end. Javier is keeping a secret that is just as devastating to him as it would be to her. Abigail knows there is something he is hiding but for once in her life she defies her logic and pushes her worries to the back burner. She wants to stay blissfully happy and ignorant to reality.

As much as he tries he can only keep his secret for so long. Once Abigail knows the heart shattering truth can she stay with him and accept their fate or does she have to protect herself and walk away from the most epic love she has ever known?

Title: Illusionarium
Author: Heather Dixon
Published: May 19th 2015 by Greenwillow

What if the world holds more dangers—and more wonders—than we have ever known? And what if there is more than one world? From Heather Dixon, author of the acclaimed Entwined, comes a brilliantly conceived adventure that sweeps us from the inner workings of our souls to the far reaches of our imaginations.

Jonathan is perfectly ordinary. But then—as every good adventure begins—the king swoops into port, and Jonathan and his father are enlisted to find the cure to a deadly plague. Jonathan discovers that he’s a prodigy at working with a new chemical called fantillium, which creates shared hallucinations—or illusions. And just like that, Jonathan is knocked off his path. Through richly developed parallel worlds, vivid action, a healthy dose of humor, and gorgeous writing, Heather Dixon spins a story that calls to mind The Night Circus and Pixar movies, but is wholly its own.

Title: The Siren
Author: Kiera Cass
Published: January 26th 2016 by HarperTeen

Love is a risk worth taking.

Years ago, Kahlen was rescued from drowning by the Ocean. To repay her debt, she has served as a Siren ever since, using her voice to lure countless strangers to their deaths. Though a single word from Kahlen can kill, she can’t resist spending her days on land, watching ordinary people and longing for the day when she will be able to speak and laugh and live freely among them again.

Kahlen is resigned to finishing her sentence in solitude…until she meets Akinli. Handsome, caring, and kind, Akinli is everything Kahlen ever dreamed of. And though she can’t talk to him, they soon forge a connection neither of them can deny…and Kahlen doesn’t want to.

Falling in love with a human breaks all the Ocean’s rules, and if the Ocean discovers Kahlen’s feelings, she’ll be forced to leave Akinli for good. But for the first time in a lifetime of following the rules, Kahlen is determined to follow her heart.

  1. The Siren is a very nice cover, like that one a lot. Especially with the sea in the background. A Night Divided and Charms aren’t bad either.
